About Me
As a southern California native, my childhood summers were spent enjoying the beach and our annual vacations in Yosemite. In 2002 my husband and I relocated to Portland, Oregon where our family continues to enjoy the beautiful beaches and mountains of the Pacific Northwest. My hobbies include reading, gardening, year-round hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
After receiving my undergraduate degree in Fine Art from UCLA in 1996, and my Interior Architectural Design degree from Santa Monica College in 2001, I gained experience working for a small commercial design firm, and then for an architectural firm. In 2005 I was ready to start my own business, Julia Williams Interiors, LLC, where I have worked in both commercial and residential design, with a focus on senior living and aging-in-place.
In all my projects, I never start with preconceived notions of what “should” be done with a space, but instead get to know my clients and how they choose to live and work. My approach is to work in conjunction with my clients to create beautiful spaces that reflect their unique styles and personalities, while giving them the functionality and comfort that they deserve.
I am a Professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Oregon Chapter and a certificate holder of the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications exam (#021579).
What My Clients Are Saying
"This has been the most painless remodel we've ever been through, starting with a great designer: your ideas, the precision of your drawings, your accessibility and the suggestion of [a cabinet supplier] who is also very detail-oriented. Thank you so much for everything. We give you 5-stars!"

Thank you, Julia, for helping me with my kitchen design. I really appreciate your meticulous work and time you spent with me!"
