The family that owns this Happy Valley home wanted to furnish their newly remodeled entertainment room.
Solution
The cabinet maker had already been brought on board to design the built-in entertainment center and bar area.
I was able to convert his hand-drawings onto the computer so we could easily make adjustments to the overall layout based on the exact proportions of the room and the amenities the clients selected to be housed within the pieces.
The couple’s two young children necessitated that the furniture for the seating area be not only comfortable, but also be durable and easy to clean. We selected a sofa and loveseat upholstered in a rich chocolate leather which dealt with these concerns. Instead of a coffee table, an easy-to-clean faux-suede ottoman doubles as a storage piece for toys and blankets.
The two recliners are upholstered in a subtle floral pattern that ties in the red tones of the woodwork with the chocolate colors of the furniture. All new baseboards and window trim, coupled with the wonderful woven wood and grass roman shades nicely finish off the room.
